About Us

Tweed Interiors was founded in June 2007 by Victoria Crawford. Formerly known as Carter Home Interiors, Victoria purchased the business from Margaret Carter after being employed as her design assistant. While working together, Margaret and Victoria successfully combined their talents and seamlessly collaborated on numerous projects. Victoria has now taken her knowledge and expertise to a new level, incorporating her own stylistic elements and tastes into the already-established design house. Victoria moved to Telluride in 1990 after graduating from Middlebury College with a B.A. in Fine Art. She was a studio art major, specializing in oil painting and mixed media. Throughout her tenure in Telluride, Victoria has participated in numerous art shows, as well as pursuing numerous other creative avenues. Today, her artistic background, natural ability and inclination toward fine design have proven invaluable in cultivating her interiors.

Robyn graduated in 1994 from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. She lived in Telluride from 1994 to 1998, before moving to New York City to pursue a career in interiors. Robyn worked for the Swiss furniture company, Vitra, located in the fashionable meat packing district of Manhattan's Lower West Side. She was employed with Vitra for five years, working as a sales representative in New York City, while managing Vitra's East Coast independent representatives, with a special concentration in Washington DC. Her clients included Kate Spade, Gannett/USA Today, and Ogilvy Mather, as well as the international design firms, Kohn Pederson Fox, Lehman-Smith & McCleish, and Studios Architecture. Robyn’s experience ranges from small residential projects, to complete corporate restacks, to new full building construction. In 2003, Robyn returned to Telluride and continues her interiors career, having joined Tweed in November 2007.
